Springtime for Klementhro

http://shortwaves.pl/
Poking my adorable furry head out from the avalanche of work and wedding plans with a couple updates regarding Klementhro's latter days on the festival circuit. Coming up first are some more details on the film's screening as part of Friday Night Shorts at Short Waves Festival in Pozan, Poland. The venue will be the Kino Rialto and the programme will kick off 10pm March 24th. Check it out, my Polish pretties!
I'm also happy to confirm that the film will still be out and about come May of this year, as part of the official selection of this year's Cardiff Independent Film Festival. It's in the company of some grand films by animation pals including Anete Melece, Chris Shepherd and Sara Barbas among others. This is the second year that the festival has teamed up with the fabulous folks at Cardiff Animation Nights for their animation strand - last year's was tremendous so I'm really looking forward to heading back.

Elsewhere I'm hearing murmurings that the sequel to The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle (the animated point-and-click game from Rumpus to which I contributed some character voices) is coming together spiffingly. Adding to those murmurings are my own murmurings, which you can check out below. Fulchmuckle rides again!

The boy who lived under the stairs

Hi m'lovelies. I just came back from a lovely time at the London International Animation Festival. Time not spent at the festival during the trip was less lovely, however. In truth Shelley Duvall had a nicer and more relaxed winter at the Overlook Hotel.
Here's a short travelogue I prepared over on my Facebook page for the benefit of those who wish to live the high life vicariously through me. Enjoy!

Ben The Bully

I'm in what I sincerely hope will be the final stretch of the production of my fourth short "Bullies". Making this film has been a sporadic, on-again-off-again affair over the last couple years, chipping away at it between commissions, Skwigly taking off and "Throat" turning out to be more of a dominating force in my life than expected. But my sincere hope is for "Bullies" to be doing the rounds before the end of the year, as I've already started work on my fifth and sixth shorts and can only have so many plates spinning at any one time without losing my mind entirely.
So as it nears completion I'm putting together a series of webisodes on the making of the film. Episode 1 went up this week, documenting my spectacularly professional approach to voice directing. The gentleman being bullied is old paisan and bromance partner Chris Richardson, who plays Liam. Watch in actual awe below:

More to come.

Mumbleface

I recorded a video blog just before the MCM and then completely forgot about it. Which is pretty much exactly in line with the number of cylinders I've been firing on lately. Anyway, I remembered it yesterday and gave it an edit and a spruce up. Basically it's just about "Throat" and all it's various editions, I figured actually showing them would possibly convey things a little better than I've done on here so far. There's also some screening news as mentioned on here already and some podcast plugging for good measure. So, without further ado, here's my first - and possibly only - vlog!
As mentioned in the video, firstly "The Naughty List" will indeed be screened this (distinctly-non-Christmassy) month, on the 11th at 7:21pm in Spain on Canal+ Xtra. Full listings on the Canal+ page as always.
Secondly I have started a "Throat" Facebook page which will eventually feature news and exclusive material as the promotion of the book continues. Not a lot up there now but g'wan and give it a 'like' whydoncha?
